I recently purchased SimCity and began to download it only to find out that the dedicated video RAM is only a 100 mb off from the minimum usage. Is there anyway to delete things so that I have the 100 mb? If not is there anything that i can do to add such as external graphics card?

im just your man! lol

first off dedicated video memory comes from the ram and usually is not as fast on onboard ram for the GPU. however it does help if your card is slow to start with. so just upgrading your ram will help.

you can do an external graphics card (eGPU) however its very complicated, a bit expansive, and need a lot of computer knowledge.

heres my build of mine that im still finishing up. still not 100%

just the way it was built. my internal only has 512mb.

your best bet is to upgrade your ram to like 6gb or so.

I'm currently looking to purchase a new laptop...I was wondering how I can see what the dedicated video ram is on the laptops I am looking at. Can you tell by the overall amount of video memory on?

Im looking for one in the 600 to 700 dollar range and that is good for some gaming as well as work
