I like "Free Download Manager" and would like to make it the default download manager, overriding any download managers that may be associated with any Browsers or programs.
I have Windows Home Premium 64 bit using Windows 7(of course)
Any help would be appreciated.
Greg

glyons48, Thank you for registering and welcome to Seven Forums.

IDM would be favorite for users, but you will only have 30 days to use it. Means that this program is not freeware and you will be asked for serial key after 30 days. Uninstalling and reinstalling IDM may not work. As this is not resetting trial period and you always be asked for serial key.

The only way to get the serial key by purchase IDM online.

Default Download manager

Thank you JonathanV-a very quick response.
Although your response didn't directly address my question it proved to be a solution to my problem. IDM fits the bill and I don't mind paying for it as it seems to be a good download manager.
I reviewed the old thread previously but it didn't answer the question I posed, hence the creation of this new thread which I can consider closed now.

The browser has it's own download manager.
But if you'd like to get FREE download manager, Google it.
