default gateway not available-so annoying!

I have to repair my wireless connection almost every 2 minutes because it drops and gives me and same issue "default gateway not available". This is extremely frustrating because I just got this brand new Dell laptop, and it's been doing this since day ONE. I assume it's a windows 7 issue.

I would suspect you are running homegroup and IPv6. both have been shown in some setups to cause random drops, freezes, slow downloads, etc.

You cn verify it by creating a new network connection based on the workgroup model which uses IPv4. Once it is up and running you can disable IPv6 and homegroup

Sorry, I'm not savvy with any of the new Windows systems AT ALL. D:
