Everytime I wake up my laptop my internet is disconnected. I run my troubleshooter and I get a message "The default gateway is not available. Running my troubleshooter fixes the problem, but it is a huge pain in the a**. I have a WD N900 wireless router set up on a WPA2-personal network. I have attached an "ipconfig /all" shot for anybody that needs it. I am very grateful for any help. Thank you.

Hi dql3218,

Please try the following steps to see if they help:

1. Optimize the Intel adapter settings:
- Right-click 'My Computer' icon on the desktop or from the 'Start menu' > Click 'Manage' > Click 'Device Manager' > Click the <+ sign> to expand the Network Adapters entry > Right-click the wireless adapter (Intel Centrino N-2230) and click 'Properties' > Click the 'Advanced tab' to configure the advanced > Select 'Power Management', uncheck 'Default / Auto', and move the slider to 'Highest / Maximum Performance'.
Note: If the slider is already at Highest / Maximum Performance, move the slider to another setting and then back to Highest / Maximum Performance.

2. If the issue persists, try optimizing the power options:
Go to the 'power options' > Change the 'Wireless Adapter Setting', from 'Maximum Power Setting' to 'Maximum Performance'

3. If you still experience issues, reset TCP/IP, proxy and DNS:
- Click the 'Start icon', click 'All programs', and click 'Accessories'
- Right-click 'Command Prompt', and click 'Run as administrator'; provide confirmation if prompted

- Please enter the following commands, and tap enter after typing each command

NETSH INT IP RESET
NETSH WINHTTP RESET PROXY
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

Hope this helps. Do reply with the findings; will take it forward.
