If you have a clinet, set, Another soution, would be to type default in search, by the start up menu. Go to the default screen and make sure that your default email client is properly set. If it is follow Jonathans advice. Either you are using a client not completely compatible with your OS or it is corrupt or not one at all.. If corrupt try to uninstall and install again.

Wishing you luck

The question may be what am I missing? As far as I know, there is no Yahoo email client, only a web-based service. So I shall assume that you need to configure something within W7 to use it. This seems somewhat foreign to me, because I don't think of a web-based service in that manner, but I found an article that might help:

windows live mail is a piece of junk. do a little research to find a free mail client with at least some features.
If you are going to bash a piece of software, please give your reasons. It is not enough to say something is junk; actual reasons are helpful.

Thanks!

my roommate just had a problem with his psu and i was going to install win mail on my system so he could at least get his mail until his new psu arrived. there was no way to import his messages from a backup of his outlook pst file into win mail. could import the accounts but not the actual mail. win mail was good in xp, however the current version for 7 is missing a lot of features. i ended up just creating him a new pst file in my outlook client.

Thank you. I do appreciate intelligent criticism of a program.
