I am running the latest Mozilla SeaMonkey browser under Win7/Pro x64.

Where do websites get their information about my physical location?

For example, almost any time I open the Home Depot website HD decides I want to shop a store 17 miles away (95050) when there is a closer one a mile away in 94303. I tell the store to make the closer one 'my store.' It remembers until I reboot. Other websites assume I am in Cupertino. Can I tell my OS where I am?

thanks,
baumgrenze
