Default UAC level adequate for most users ?

Just wondering what you think of keeping the UAC level to it's default setting ? Do you think one would be better protected having it enabled to the MAX ?

Obviously the higher you set it the more secure you're going to be, in theory. I think having windows firewall, MSE, and Malwarebytes is just fine if you know what you're doing.

It could become really tiresome being notified for every change you make

I'm gonna try it now and see how long i can cope with it :sarc:

I've had it there since installing on 10/22. Wouldn't have it any other way. Yes, it does become a bother at times but all in all I like it.

As for me,i turned off UAC since the 1st day i run my Win 7..It's really annoying.
Well,i did tried turning it on for awhile and yes i can't cope with it.
So i turned it off till today.

At the very least I would leave it on at the default settings. I did for about an hour or two after install and if I remember correct, it wasn't too bothersome. Right after that, I set mine to full blown with password prompt.

I depend mostly on my security settings(AV,Antimalware,Antispyware)...That is why i don't feel the need to turn UAC on...Actually it depends on the user's comfort,to some it's a bother to them...To some,it's fine with them.

Mine was disabled when the computer was given to me....I just turned it onto the default setting, out of curiosity. We'll see what happens the next couple days.

default is fine for me, its nice not being asked several times if i want to do something (for instance with Vista copying files from a "protected area" to a "user area" came up with you need to be elevated, then a UAC prompt, then a confirm action dialog, with 7 you get the elevation prompt, Windows knows its you, and gets on with it) its no more annoying than being asked if your sure you want to close an application

yea, well I just turned mine up yesterday to the max, It shouldn't bother me. When I used Vista, UAC was never much of a bothersome, contrary to what a lot of people said regarding UAC. However being well protected is important in my opinion !
