Delayed jerkiness

Recently my HP Pavilion laptop (dv7-3111ea) has developed a slowness. For example, if I watch a TV program online, it starts normally, then after a short while it becomes jerky.
Everything started when I installed Memeo backup to make an encrypyted backup copy of my HD on a Seagate external hard drive. After two and a half days of backing up, there was one file left (unidentified) which hadn't been copied. I looked on the Seagate drive, to find that nothing seemed to have been copied over at all.
My laptop also developed a slowness, sometimes mild, sometimes excruciating. Even uninstalling both the Memeo programs and the Seagate dashboard hasn't resolved the issue.
I attach a list of services running when my computer is behaving jerkily.
Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
Thanks.

I would disable Seaport (MS Enhanced Search whatever) and see if that corrects the problem.

Thanks for your advice. It seems to have caused SOME improvement. Something else seems to be affecting things.
By the way, how come I can export the list of services but not the processes?
