Delete / Edit user account info

I use a small notebook at home & has to keep using also whilst in the car so I purchased another on eBay of the same item.

The previous owners username is on the Admin page. I’ve changed it to my name BUT when I transfer some files from usb stick to notebook I see the the path of where it’s being saved but with that path I see something like C/users/previous owners name/desktop.

Can you advise what I should do to edit or change the info of there name.

If memory serves me, changing acct name does not change under the hood operations. Create a new your-name admin-level acct, copy all desktop stuff from old other acct into your acct. After a few days of making sure everything in your acct is to your liking, delete that other acct.
There are ways on The 'Net to fully fix under the hood, however the steps are way over my head.

Did you encounter any difficulty during the new-acct creation, old to new copying, old-acct deletion process?
