So apparently I bungled. Upon receiving my new computer, I noticed that there were 2 program files folders. After installing a few programs, I noticed they were all going to X86 folder, so I thought this was an install error on the shipping companies part, and deleted the unnumbered program files folder. Is there a way to fix my messup... will it affect performance, and anything else anyone could inform me that I Fubar'ed up?

As Rich says, a system restore to a point before you deleted the Programs folder should get you out of trouble.

Just in case you didn't know, the 64-bit version of Windows 7 has two programs folders: Program Files and Program Files (x86).

Any 64-bit software you install will default to the Program Files folder while any 32-bit software will default to the Programs Files (x86) folder.
