Deleted A Windows File?

I'm running Win 7 Pro x64. I forgot that I had "Show hidden files and folder" checked, and was going to burn a disc using Windows. In addition to the file that I was going to burn to disc, another file appeared in Windows Explorer, ready to burn, that was named "Desktop" and the type was "Configuration Settings." I deleted that file from the "Files Ready To Be Written To Disc" part of Windows.

Did deleting that file possible also delete it from my computer or mess something up? Could I have caused a major headache and a possible re-format?:shock:

Nope, in fact It will more than likely show up again at least I have had it show up on 2 laptops, 1 with 7 Pro 32 and one with 7 Pro 64, my desktop which has 7 Ultimate 64 has as well.

Run this command. Tell us what shows up. Needed files will be repaired.

That is a .ini file that will almost always show up when doing that. It is completely unimportant and can be deleted, as you've done.

Some .ini's are actually protected, but the desktop.ini file is not.
