Deleting a partition

How can i delete a partition with an operating system (Vista) on it? I am triple booting Win7 64, Win7 32, and Vista 32. I took the vista 32 entry out of the boot menu using EaasyBCD. I then went to Disc management, Right clicked on the vista32 partition to delete that partition but the delete option is grayed out. How can I clear out and format that partition with vista on it? I'm keeping the two win7 programs. The two window 7's are on two different hard drives.

Which drive is the host boot drive or were all three installations separate "stand alone" installation performed while the other drives were unplugged? The option to delete the Vista primary being greyed out would be seen if you were booted in Vista at the time or the host/boot drive for all three installations.

By simply booting up with the Vista dvd itself the option for format is available in the drive tools section when proceeding as if you were installing Vista all over. Once the drive Vista is on was reformatted you would simply cancel the installation.

The fast and easy approach? Without Vista being tied into the two 7 installation being the host drive any 3rd party drive partitioning program can reformart or even delete the Vista primary entirely especially a drive tool like GParted where you are booted live from a cd or usb key made up for the purpose.
