Good evening, Have recently gone to Windows 7 and IE9. Having trouble adding and deleting some folders and sub-folders. Click on Delete and nothing happens. Can add some websites to Favorites but not others. Anyone having any problems like this? Is there some security thing stopping this? Would appreciate some suggestions on how to correct the problem. Thanks.

Hello Robert, and welcome to Seven Forums.

I find that when this happens, opening a new tab in IE9 and clicking on Favorites again will show the change afterwards.

In addition, you could make the changes directly in your C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder. This where the favorites in IE9 are saved at.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Thanks Richard and Shawn for your suggestions. Before I got your responses, I kept messing around trying to find out why I couldn't delete some sub-folders. Finally, I decided to try to delete the whole folder and then start over again, putting the three sub-folders I wanted back on. Believe I right clicked on the folder name and hit delete. Got some question saying something about only the adminstrator could approve (heck, I am the administrator!). Hit the Continue button and then noticed a flashing Options box down in the system tray to the left. Left clicked on it (I believe) and then the whole folder was deleted in short order. Then when back to redo with the three sub-folders I wanted back in a main folder under Favorites. Again, thanks for your interest and responses.
