hey i have this really irritating problem with windows 7, i installed windows 7 64bit and i noticed that there was 2 program files folder, i found out that it was normal however due to compatiblity issues with some hardware i had to go to the 32bit version. Now the problem is that i still have Program files(x86) with all the programs from the previous installation and it takes up like 10gb of space so i tried deleting it but to no avail, i have followed 2 forums but still nothing

now i dont know if the first method affected the second but i just want that folder gone so can someone give a full proof method of deleting program files (x86)

you do not want to delete that folder , it is required by the Os for 32bit programs ;)

You didn't properly install the x86 OS, because you didn't wipe out the drive. If it was me, I'd have little faith in the stability of the system. I'd back up my data, wipe the drive clean, and do a fresh, clean install of the x86 version.

Out of curiosity, what hardware do you have that isn't compatible?

Most programs you install in a 64bit Win7 will end up in the x86 program files. If you delete them, you lose the programs.

Are you sure the keyboard needed drivers? Most of those only need drivers for game profiles, macros, etc....and not for normal operation.
