I had an issue with installing a game on my dell 1535 laptop, and it stopped starting up completely, wouldn't turn on all the way. At this point i had windows vista, i had a friend who knows a lot about computers look at it and he restored it to factory settings and installed windows 7 on it. When i got the laptop home, it worked fine but it said i didn't have a dvd drive. i restarted the computer and hit f12 and selected cd/dvd rom drive and it booted fine and recognized the dvd drive. it worked fine for 3 days then when i booted it up it told me i could not find the hard drive. then i tried the same thing as i did with the dvd drive and it started up again, but now everytime i boot it up it launches startup repair which then tells me the problem can;t be fixed and it flashes to a blue screen then shutsdown. and i can't do a factory settings restore because no operating system is listed to restore to on the restore menu when you hit f8 then repair computer......any insight on how to fix this??
