dell 545s black screen

My moms god son has been using my computer but several minutes ago he called me in and my screen is black Dell black screen - YouTube how can i fix this? i don't have the installation disc because this was a computer that had windows vista when i bought it and a disc came with it to upgrade to windows 7

i can only press f2 and f12 i pressed f12 and am now running diagnostics

Sorry to say your video is useless, shows nothing.

Do you see anything when you turn on the computer?
Does the manufacturer's logo show?
Do you end up with a blinking cursor at the top left of the screen?

That's what i showed in the video it shows the black screen with the cursor blinking in the top left when i turn it on the windows logo comes on saying starting windows then after that the black screen appears yesterday i don't think he shut it down properly the power button was orange

i do have the re-installation disc but its for vista just found it when i bought the computer i had the option to upgrade to windows 7 which i did

when i press f2 bios cmos set up utility comes up i can enter bios There are two disc one is orange its used for upgrade only and another disc windows 7 upgrade assistant i don't think i'm able to repair from that disc so how can i repair my computer without the disc i only have the vista re-installation disc

The WIn7 Upgrade kit DVD can be booted to install with the Product Key that came packaged with it. Did you save these? You'll need at least the key to reinstall. We might be able to help you retrieve it if you threw away a $100+ Product key.

But first you can try to repair WIn7 using these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

I have the product key the disc had a sticker so i placed it on my desktop this is what i see when going into bios is that the hard drive? i'm not able to press f8 i've inserted disc in it won't boot

since i can't boot into windows How do i back up my files?
