I have done a clean install of windows 7 Ultimate on a Dell E6400 (4 series chipsets). It is 2019, and I am wondering, should I install the Dell Drivers vs. the ones windows installs. I ask that because windows update is has a bunch of drivers (chipset, audio) that are queued up to install. I don't know if these MS drivers will perform better in 2019 vs. the Dell drivers from 2010. Which way should I go? Some, none, a mix?

Thank you

Kevin

Windows drivers don't handle everything. Certain functionality like wifi won't work with integrated drivers. Manufacturer's drivers are always the best. Also when windows updates offers them I suggest that you decline them.
