Dell DataSafe Restore, Now not able to log in to windows.

Hi,

I'm not very computer savvy, but I sat on the phone with Dell help for nearly two hours and their 5 people could not help me. I am surely hoping you can.

I used Dell Datasafe to back up my files (now I know I should have used an external drive) to an emergency disk on my computer. It completed the PC restore. I thought everything would be great.

But, when it rebooted, it went directly from "Getting Ready for First Time Use" to the windoes log in screen. It has a blank box and then the user name and password fields. It will not let me log on with anything I have tried. I tried Administrator and it said it was disabled. I tried my previous user name and password and it said it was incorrect. i tried leaving them blank and it said I had to have a user name and password. I would really LOVE not to lose those files saved to my emergency drive. And I think all I have to do is log in so I can set up my user account.

Any suggestions as to what user name and password might log me in?

Dell is clueless. So am I. Is my only option really to completely reformat?

Did you ever get help with this? i am having the same problem and i dont know anything about computers to fix it. Please help if you have any info.
