Try to install the vista drivers in vista comp That might work.

error with Optiarc DVD -+R 8x Slot load on Windows 7

Hi,

I have a Dell studio 1535 laptop. i have just installed windows 7 professional. Everything works fine apart from the DVD drive. For example if i am using it for a while it won't eject n then computer becomes unresponsive. Same with playing a dvd if it sticks, the computer sticks aswell n doesn't eject. Hard drive monitor is on permanently but not dvd drive, according to resource monitor nothing is accessing the hard drive.

I am confused. Can anyone help?

Did you buy your Windows 7 or are you using BIOS emulation crack? Because BIOS emulation can cause that.
