I run a 3840x1600 display, so I have to customize fonts and icons so I can read the desktop. I booted up today and everything has defaulted to tiny and unreadable except from really close to the screen. When I go into Display it still registers as 150%. I can resize the desktop icons, but I can't do anything with the Taskbar. If I reboot everything reverts to tiny again. I reset to 100% and logged off and on again and then reset to 150% from 100%, then logged off. On logging back on the screen blanks and displays 'No signal.' I've reloaded the video driver to no effect. I've tried system Restore, also to no effect. Does any one have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Deadtroopers,

Some questions!

[1] Does the clock and date show the correct time and date?
[2] Are the settings on the monitor set correctly?
[3] Does this also happen in Safe Mode?
[4] Have you installed any new hardware, software or updates prior to this happening?
[5] Is it just the icons that are small, or is everything else on the desktop small too?

I hope this helps!

Hi Paul,

Clock and Calendar are fine, the monitor resolution is correct, as far as I could tell it was happening in Safe Mode, I haven't installed anything new. The icons on the desktop stay at large now but the text is still too small. I have them arranged by date, if I log off or reboot they default to being grouped. The Task Bar icons are fifty percent smaller than I had them set up. The same goes for programs, browser tabs etc. They would probably be fine on a 24" or smaller monitor, but I haven't used one of those in donkey's years.

Thanks, Steve
