Desktop application shortcuts appear as adobe image as the icon?

Half my desktop icons have the same adobe icon? How do I get the proper icon that came originally. Any ideas how to fix. (Programs still work, but takes time to easily find what you are after on the desktop?) ........... Thanks - John
