Desktop Background

On a new Win7 machine, after transferring data from my old XP machine using Belkin Easy Transfer cable and Windows Easy Transfer, ( That was a disaster), the desktop was changed from a photo off the net to a Windows logo, but none I had ever seen or used. After locating the photo again and selecting "Set As Desktop Background" with a right click over the photo nothing happened. If I select a stock photo from Windows stock photos and select set as background from that location, that Windows photo installs as background just fine. What's changed? How do I fix it?

If you are running Windows 7 Starter edition, the option to use a photo as Desktop Background is not available. This was by design and is not a bug. But you don't say what version of Windows 7 you are using, so it's hard to give a definitive answer. Good luck.
