Can anyone help me w/a little customization? In the attached picture, I want to move the StickyNote selection down into the New heading & also remove the (zipped) wording from New>Compressed (zipped) Folder. Anyone have any solutions?

The 'Compressed (zipped) folder' is found in zipfldr.dll.mui located in C:\Windows\System32\en-US and (if you have 64 bit) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\en-US. They are slightly different so both will have to be modified individually. I think it is entry number 10195 in string table No. 638. There are quite a few 'Compressed (zipped) folder' entries in the string tables so I used to just change them all to 'Compressed folder'.

How did you get Sticky Notes in your context menu??
I've messed about with Sticky Notes but cannot get it to move to under the "New" cascading menu. Soz. GRRrr!!

This is what I did to get the StickyNote selection:

1.Open the registry & navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell
2. Highlight shell & R-click>New>Key & name it StickyNote
3. On the R-side pane, R-click>New>String Value & input C:\Windows\System32\StikyNot.exe

Back to the L-Pane:
1. Highlight the newly-created StickyNote & R-click>New>Key & name it Command
2. On the R-side pane, double click Default & input C:\Windows\system32\StikyNot.exe
3. Exit the registry & it should now come up.

How do I edit the zipfldr.dll.mui?

How do I edit the zipfldr.dll.mui?
Download ResHack 3.5.2 from the link, about half way down the page, link is in the green box. Take ownership of and then copy your zipfldr.dll.mui file(s) to a new location. Search for Compressed (zipped) folders and edit it in the string values then save the file(s) when done. Rename the original zipfldr.dll.mui file(s) to something like zipfldrOld.dll.mui, copy and paste your modified files back to their original folders. Re-boot.
