Solved Desktop Folder

Hi everyone

Wonder if anyone can solve this problem I am having. Somehow a folder called 'desktop' has appeared in the My Music folder. The desktop folder contained all the shortcuts and folder from my computer desktop screen. I deleted the folder but this simply deleted all my items on my desktop and i lost everything. When I rebooted the computer the folder appeared in My Music folder again but minus all the desktop items (just a few). So what happens is if I say add a new folder by right mousing on the desktop screen, the new folder appears in the Desktop folder in My Music folder. In other words the folder is acting as a sort of backup to my desktop. Hope this makes sense and wonder if anyone can explain what is going on and how to resolve it. Thanks

cut it and paste into admin folder.

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. Where is my admin folder located. Have search but can't find any such folder. thanks

C:/windows/users/admin

admin may be your username so if your username is user then:

C:/windows/users/user

In addition, it looks like you will need to restore the default location of your Desktop folder.
