I have a Windows 7 x64 professional system on a fairly new computer (one year old?).
Almost since the day I got it (from Dell) it has occasionally (three times a month?) booted up with a blank desktop.
It is no problems to right click on the desktop, select view and check "show desktop icons." But it doesn't seem to stick....sooner or latter it will boot up again with no desktop icons showing.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening ad how I can make my choice to show desktop icon permanent?
