Desktop icons keep rearranging themselves after full screen games

Sims, Jurassic Park, Minecraft, etc. if it's a full screen thing, the icons will be all out of place when resuming back to the desktop. I've selected to align icons to grid already, but it'll still keep doing it. How can I fix it?

Are you running the games at your native monitor resolution?

Happened to me when i ran a game at 1440 x 900 on a 1920 x 1080 monitor

Once you get your icons back where you want them, try right clicking on a blank spot on the desktop, then click on Refresh.
