Solved Desktop Icons Not Displaying

can some kind person tell or show me a tutorial on how to get all of my icons
showing up on the desktop please..

I had to re-install windows again and now i havent got a clue where to go to get the
desktop icons up, mainly hinting at : my computer, networking, and the username icon
folder... Last time i had to re-install windows was 3 years ago..
