Desktop Icons size

Is there any way of making 2 or 3 desktop icons larger while leaving the remaining icons small size?

Welcome to the Forum.

What you see in Desktop are shortcuts placed on C:\Users\Public\Desktop and on C:\Users\NAME\Desktop on a Icon view.
Don't think is possible to change the size of certain Icons without changing the others.

yes - create new image files, save them as '.ico' and assign them to a new desktop shortcut referencing the respective sources.

I use an old program called MicroAngelo. It has several sub-programs, and you want Studio. You can also find icons of various sizes online.

Image files

Sorry to be so naive but how do I create "image files". All I have is the icon on desktop

If you have no experience in that, use ready-made icons. Do a search for "icons 48x48." or "icons 32 x 32."

You have many options. If you want to use the existing icon you would use an appropriate app (google is your friend) to extract it, resize it and replace it. Or you can use a graphics editor of your choice and create a unique image, if you so desire. Additionally, RoWin7 has provided you another fine option. Also, nowadays youtube has tutorials that just about cover everything. Can you believe it, I even found an excellent youtube that took me thru the steps to convert my model truck's single exhaust system to a dual and I (an 'arm-chair' noob-mechanic) was able to save tons by doing it myself. HA!

I used Youtube when I was building a computer, and for repairing my vacuum cleaner. And for doing spot painting on my car.

When I extract it I have copied it to Word resized but it goes back to original size when I replace it. Is there somewhere else where I should resize it

The file isn't itself really resized in Word, because it's a 2nd copy. Resize them in Paint or Irfanview. I can't figure out Paint since they replaced the toolbars with ribbons.
