Hi!,

I have am looking at some kind of banner which is hiding desktop icons. It is not affecting Gadgets or applications. It is only affecting desktop icons. is there any setting I am missing? Please check attached image.

Please help me to solve the problem.

Run an antivirus scan and download and run malwarebytes. Just to be on the safe side.
Try to refresh the desktop, right click and then refresh
Boot the computer
Pull it to gadgets, on the right and try to delete, by hitting the X

I've seen this a couple times before, but I can't remember what causes it. Do the recommended malware scan. What software do you have installed? please list everything, including toolbars.
