Desktop icons

Win 7/64bit

When starting windows the desktop icons are loaded and appear fine ...... then
they turn white ... and then start one by one get their proper appearance again .

How can l fix this problem ?

There's nothing to worry about, I have the same thing happen to me occasionally, if I have too many items in the taskbar; the file icons will be fine and then disappear and then load up again all together in a few seconds.

I don't get the problem if I have 6 or less programs on my taskbar at boot.

I think it is a matter of the speed of your system. On my desktop with an i7 and the OS on a SSD I never notice that. On an older laptop I do see it.

Seems the problem is elsewhere .
l have a superfast rig with i7 and the OS on a SSD , l also reduced the programs on my taskbar to 4 .
Nothing doing .

I experience the same thing and my system is a bit above the norm. In an attempt to locate the reason, I keep trying different settings and the like, but have not found a direct association, yet.
