My desktop icons used to be at bottom of screen (horizontal) and all of a sudden they are at right side and vertical.

I didn't do anything (that I know of) to change it, but I kind of like it.

What setting do I use to keep it there?

Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties. Check the highlighted setting (it should be set to Right for the way you have it now).
