Desktop pc display get black

Hello,from some time my desktop pc display will get black,after a while it comes on,but when i switch to safe mode its ok,tried a notebook to see if its the monitor but the monitor ok,my pc tech tried it with the on board card and was ok,what are you views?is it the graphic card?is there any way i can determine if ist the card?when the monitor goes black theres no indications,just your working and oops monitor goes black,pc still on

Hello Silvio mate you are running Ultimate with very little memory and one thing to start with it is to get the RAM increased preferably to at least 4GB.

Now have yu tried another cable the old one may be bad if the cable was used with the laptop then it will be ok.

Now I suggest you start in safe mode and run these please

thanks m8.ill try these when its stable because now monitor is flickering,and i have 16gb ram,because its a gameing pc.

It seems to me that the problem is on the graphics card.

In addition to Megahertz's advice and what I have already suggested at least try updating the driver Drivers | GeForce

I had to format.as the c drive didnt woke up.my tech tried it on another pc but with no response at least some backup was done.then i had to switch to vga onboard as with the hdmi cable the monitor began flickering.as i tried a netbook monitor was ok.then i have the restarting after shutdown issiue.new tread opened on this.

If VGA works fine, then it it is likely that your video driver is bad. If a new driver doesn't fix this, try an older driver. Sometimes drivers have bugs, and so if you go to an old driver, you will get one without the bugs.

Yep that is a really old card my fiend and if the budget will allow it I would go for a new one say something like this would be better than that one

Now you do have room for more RAM too f you wanted a bit more out of the machine because 2GB is pretty slim for the Windows Ultimate version even the 32bit one if you do add more the just check the speeds and timings first they must very close to what you have already got.
