Desktop Volume Slider ?

Hello,

I have the normal speaker icon on my screens bottom-right (taskbar ?), and it works just fine.

However, I would like to have a simple volume slider that would reside all the time, without the need for opening it up each time, on the desktop permanently.

All I want to do is adjust the volume; no mixing, etc.

Anyone suggest a free, simple, one ?

Or, is there perhaps a simple way to tell the one that I already have to reside on the desktop permanently, and stay open ?

Much thanks,
Bob

Hi Ciara,

Thanks for suggestion.
Looks like what I am after, but-

It appears on my Desktop just fine.
But, as soon as I click on any other item on the desktop, or on the desktop itself, it disappears.

I've played with all the options, but cannot find any way to force it to remain on the desktop as you open other programs, etc.

Is there a way of locking it to the desktop ?

Regards, and thanks,
Bob

Think I'll be using "Volumouse".
Nifty program.

Hi Bob...

I just want to add on to the great tools suggestions you already got. I use the Gadget I linked to below...it allows you to click on it and slide your volume up or down.

I do have to mention though that some of the reviewers posted that they received virus warnings. My MSE (MS Security Essentials) MalwareBytes, and SUPERAntispyware found nothing. From the site...
This is in response to some of the reviews, Microsoft scans these files for Malicious Code, The Gadget contains an ActiveX control that may not comply with pour Antivirus programs like Avira, as with anything that is free you have draw backs, use something like Live Care or Protector Plus, scan your files before installation. If there was a Virus in this file it would not be on a Microsoft Site.
