The only downside these days are their screen res. Why the hell is it so hard to get anything above 1366*768 or 1600*900

That should not be a problem. My Vaio has 1920x1080.

Mine is 7 lbs to be precise

Not sure if this counts as heavy, but it certainly does not fit into any of my pockets
