All,

My Win7 x64 machine has recently developed a bad habit - it wakes itself up from S3 standby mode! Is there an event log, or something similar, which would allow me to determine what woke the computer? While I doubt that there is malware on my machine, I would really like to track down the cause of this behavior.

Thank you.

All,

Thanks for the prompt, and useful, replies.

Using the lastwake command, I found that the culprit was Media Center. I am thinking about upgrading my HTPC and launched Media Center on my computer to see what it is about. Seems that once you do that, it creates a handful of scheduled takes which run daily and/or weekly. I disabled those tasks so hopefully my computer will not get to sleep peacefully all night long... :-)
