Device Icons

Can anyone tell me where win7 Ultimate x64 get the icons from when you install a new device, reason I'm asking is that I have just install a wacom tablet and it shows it as being a printer. Was wondering how to change the icon to what I want.

download the icon ... wacom icons by ~AleksandrObuhov on deviantART

Right click on the wrong device icon, choose properties, click the 'customize' tab then browse to where you saved the downloaded icon.

Have the icon but cannot find customize tab. Do you mean me to right click on the device in Devices and printers as tried it but no customize tab.

If you are saying about this Window (Devices and printers), its tad tough to change them; they are associated with registry and dll files.

I will strongly suggest not to use any third party tool to change them. Rather, right click on it > select troubleshoot; Windows will try to fix it. If not, it will be fixed later by "optional driver updates" in Windows update.

[As you have not mentioned, Jacee thought you are talking about icon's in My Computer]
