Welcome to SevenForums. From what i understand you have bought a new hard drive and reinstalled Windows seven on it and now your Syncmaster is not listed in device manager.

The reason for this is the new installation didn't recognize your Syncmaster monitor, so you'll need to go to Syncmaster and find your model number and hopefully they will have a driver for you to download.

Download it to your desktop (if one is available). Then go to monitors in device manager>right click the PNP>then update driver software>browse my computer for software>have disk>browse to where you have downloaded the file>click or double click on the .inf file and see if it will install>reboot then check to see if your monitor is now listed in device manager.

you could also try updating the driver manually. go to device manager and right-click your monitor. select the driver tab, then update driver. then "browse my computer for driver software". then click "let me pick from a list..." then uncheck the box that says "show compatible hardware".
