Solved Devices and printers hanging.

1.)

6.) Have you tried to copy the users account in AD to a new test account (lets call it test), and see if the same thing appears? If so this would determine it is not a permission issue and more likely profile corruption on the server.

6. yes and the problem persists.

That means there is some corruption in that users profile on the server. It could be a file that is corrupted, a personalized setting, even a theme setting. Something in that particular profile is causing the issue. Have you tried creating a Fresh clean profile for that user say User 1a and see if it persists? if not the start by copying docs over, then favs, ect. checking in between each copy. **EDIT** I forgot to mention to NOT copy any serviceable files destop.ini ect.

I had a similar issue with a user on a 75 user domain that was causing the print queue to crash, turned out the had a corrupt desktop.ini file in his doc folder.

Agreed. That was suggested in post 15.

Waiting on the results of that will be interesting, as well as if print management has any success.

And thank you mohavepc, could always use more help in this thread :)

Your awesome for reading this.
At your service, and Your Welcome. I have had a similar issue about a month ago on a server 2010 domain and Win 7 workstations.

Thanks all. I ended up creating a new profile then copying all documents (one by one) and it worked must have been a corrupted settings file.

Probably a bad desktop.ini file. they can get corrupted if files or settings change offline. Glad it worked. If you haven't done so already please mark this thread as solved and Thank you for using Seven Forums.
Have a Great Day
