Every time I turn my windows 7 to sleep mode (same issue in vista), and then resume after sleep mode, the autoplay for my external hdd comes up. It seems that the hdd disconnects as soon as windows 7 enters sleep mode and when it resumes, the usb connections starts again. Im tired of clicking through two autoplays everytime I resume...

You could set it off with the Group Policy editor (but not in a Home edition). For details see here.

You could turn off autoplay even without the gdedit actually, it is a simple windows option.(start menu, autoplay, disable for all devices)
I don't want to completely turn off autoplay. Is there any way to turn it off for specific devices?
