Diablo 3 tentative release date, before Xmas

Blizzard games are always highly anticipated and the latest Diablo sequel is hardly an exception. The third installment of the long-running series has received tons of attention, particularly since the developer began revealing gameplay details and in-game footage.


Since Diablo 3 was officially unveiled around mid-last year, Blizzard has remained shut on when they plan to have the game ready for retail. Now following roughly four years into development, the game is nearing completion with tentative release dates indicating the game could be with us before this year's Christmas.

Previously, on press release they said they are only concentrating on one title for 2009, we all assumed Starcraft, and so that would mean D3 in 2010.

Would be nice though!

I've waiting a long time for this game and even upgraded my computer just so i know for sure i can play it. Hopefully it does come out this year.

Just started playing Diablo 1 and Diablo 2. These are some of the best games I have ever played.

With blizzards track record don't count on D3 anytime soon. They announced SC2 before D3 and that is probably going to push way before D3. Blizzard has a long time history of taking however long they want to release a game/patch/expac. D3 as much as I would love it to come out, being a D1/D2 player, I think it will be 3rd quarter 2010 at the earliest if not 4th quarter 2010.

I hate previews. I remember when I was a kid and I had no idea about them, and just was surprised with the new games in store, I liked it that way.

Well, I can't wait that long - but the good news is I'll be playing it on a Core i7 965 EE with a minimum of dual GTX260s on an SSD with 12 GB of RAM.....
