Yes, it works fine with Windows 7, in fact, it is one of the games I've installed that gave me NO problems during install or gameplay. Are you having problems with it?

Diablo 2 and its expansion run fine in windows 7 but to optimize the performance of the game run it in compatability mode for windows xp SP2

not sure about the first diablo game as i have not yet tried to play it on windows 7

Diablo I and Diablo II both work flawlessly on Windows 7. That includes the expansions for both of them. Obviously if you are trying to play online, just make sure you have the latest patch and updates.

Also, u guys on 64 bit machines- is it common to have the screen shrunken off the edges to fit gameplay. i notice this when i recently tried playing a game or two.

We just pretend Dibble III never happened. :)

It was a good game but I think the die hard Dibble players (me included) were expecting a little more from it after 12 years. It's obviously personal preference but it just didn't feel like good ol Dibble. But then again the game is essentially nothing but farming so I guess that would be a challenging enough to turn that into an amazing game.

To be honest i havent played it yet, for several reasons...
1. i cant afford to get sucked into a players vortex like it did in D2 - days and nights can pass and u wont even know it.
2. we in this part of the world dont believe in paying ridiculous amount for software - D3 here costs $280 - so we go with cloned softwares for games most not requiring Internet acess.
3. U need an original key to play D3 cos its played online - refer to NO.2 above

kindly comment on the game pls? and ur personal opinions about it.

I don't believe paying full retail for things either. Most things I buy are used or on sale but I made an exception for D3 because I enjoyed the other ones so much. Honestly I didn't get sucked into the game like the other ones.

All in all it was a good game. The graphics and visuals were beatiful and interesting. The characters were great and their abilities interesting and even how they setup the health / mana system was different and refreshing. Also the story was decent and followed the typical Diablo story line.

With that being the same the graphics looked more like World of Warcraft or League of Legends then an actual Diablo game. The characters were great but you would never attack with the weapon in your hand because all weapons in the game were stat sticks rather than actual weapons that dertermined your play style. There was no skill tree or special ablities to specifically tweek your character. You would unlock a characters abilities at a certain level so nobody ever felt like their character was unique. The storyt line was awesome but it felt really short and lacking at some points. After the first play through you kind of sit back and realize that you don't want to play through it again.

If you are a Diablo fan than I recommend you getting it just because you should play it and continue the story. If you can't afforid it that is completly understandable but I can make a suggestion. Take a look at a game called Path of Exile. It is VERY similar to Diablo II and is COMPLETLY free to play. It just went to open Beta so expect there to be some bugs but you are allowed to playt through the game and get the experience.

Hope this helped,
JackALope
