Did I brick this PC by flashing BIOS incorrectly?

So here's what happened. I stupidly tried to flash my roommate's computer's BIOS from with Windows, and now it won't boot. It doesn't even get to a POST screen. It just has a sequence of 2 beeps, about 1 second long per beep, then about 3 seconds before the beeps start again. I tried clearing the CMOS and popping out the motherboard battery but it keeps beeping. His manuals are missing as well so I can't try CrashFree or whatever it is, if his board even has it. It's an ASUS IPIBL-LB.

So it does not display anything, Just Beeping...

Did you have any error while flashing the BIOS? If not, did you update the right one?

Where did you get the Update for for the BIOS? If it does not get past the POST it might be a problem.. It all depends on the Motherboard but 2 beeps might be bad memory..instead of a BIOS problem.

There was no error that I saw.

IPIBL-LB Motherboard BIOS Update - HP Customer Care (United States - English) This is where I got the update.

I doubt it's memory because there were no issues with the RAM beforehand. The BIOS update was meant to fix a CPU fan issue but now things are way worse. Am I completely SOL?

I have had no issues with HP's flashing BIOS program.. Success rate is 100 percent(for me), is this a laptop or Desktop computer, If it is a laptop was it on battery while you were flashing the BIOS?

No, nothing whatsoever.

Do you have the mobo driver disk? if so try poping it in the drive and powering on the machine and see if the system trys to read the disk.

Unfortunately he doesn't have any of the CD's/manuals anymore.

Try any cd or usb stick, if you get activity then download the bios file and stick it on the cd/usb, power on the system then leave for 5 mins and see if it updates.

Also I would remove everything from the system only leaving the cd, keyboard and monitor connected (disconnect hdds etc)

you should unplug the AC power cord push and hold the power button in for 30 to 40 seconds then restore power and try again to boot
