I ran that, didn't fix the association.
I have also tried manually editing the registry, but didn't work because (maybe) regedit won't let me change the default value for Internet Explorer.
Yes, I know what .jad and .jar files are. The problem is that I mistakenly (stupidly) opened one of each with IE, and the "always open with this program" box was checked.
It seems that I change change associations for everything *except* IE.
You see, now even when I use a program like this
An Utility to Unassociate File Types in Windows 7 and Vista it doesn't even show the .jad and .jar files at all -- they appear to be UNassociated with any program. But when I look at the .jad and .jar files on my computer, they are clearly associated with IE. Yes, I could (maybe) change the association to another program, but I don't want them associated at all.
