Whats the differences in example: buying a GTX 690 from different GPU carriers? Follow-up questions: Which is the best and why?

Some to mention are:
Powercolor
ASUS
Gigabyte
EVGA
Palit
Galaxy
MSI
Sapphire
XFX

Carrier? What's that?

eVGA is known for good customer service - for US customers, at least.

As far as I know, Sapphire only makes AMD-based graphics cards.

If you're specifically looking for a 690, I'm not sure that all of these makers have them. The market for $1000 graphics cards appears to be limited. (www.newegg.com has no 690s in stock at the moment, from any maker. There are a few at amazon.)

so Customer service is the difference when buying example a 690 from EVGA or ASUS?

so Customer service is the difference when buying example a 690 from EVGA or ASUS?

Not entirely. Some makers offer cards that are based on the "reference" nVidia design. For all I know, they may all be made by the same manufacturer. Others (like Asus) offer custom designs. eVGA makes cards with built-in water cooling:

I'm not sure how much advice you'll get on the best vendor for a 690, especially as you're not in the US.
