Could someone explain the difference between a portable and
regular version of software.
I tend to have alot of programs on my computer.
Will I be better off installing portable software?
Does portable software have less impact on resources ?
Thanks For your Help :)

Hello Ralph,

Regular software is where it must be installed on your computer for it to be able to run. This type will usually have more features or options.

Portable software doesn't install on your computer for it to run. It could run from a standalone .exe file say on your desktop, or from a USB flash drive. This makes it a portable/standalone program, thus the name. This allows you to easily run the program from any computer without it being installed on the computer.

It really just depends on your needs for which one may be best for you.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

Hello Brink,

Currently I am using Photoshop CS2 from a very long time and
i thought i am in need of an upgrade to CS4 so i was searching if
someone selling a cheap copy of CS4 and i saw a portable version of
CS5 which is only around 60mb. Obviously it is not a legile copy.

So i want to ask that what about this copy of CS5.
The original Software is in GB's and this one is only a few MB's.
What feature,s it contain? dose it have all functions of Full software?
Does it works exactly like the full version?.
How they compress such big software in this small size?
