Solved Differences in 3 system restore options

Is are there differences in the following ways to run system restore:


1) From within windows
2) from windows in safe mode
3) from the windows installation CD repair/system restore option

any advantages/disadvatages in running restore from either or each of the 3 options ?

Hello Trinaz,

There's not much difference other than in Safe Mode.

1) Allows you to be able undo the system restore if needed.

2) You will not be able undo a system restore done in Safe Mode.

3) Same as 1, but can be handy if you are unable to boot into Windows 7.
