Well, as everyone knows microsoft are going to be releasing the full version on office 2010 soon. I just want to know what are the differences in the new office and if it's worth getting or not.

Point out as many differences and pros as you can.

When you ask for differences in Office 10, what are you comparing it to?
In my humble opinion the biggest change over the previous versions has been the UI, or the "Ribbon". If its worth it? is all relative to what you have used previously and what you are comfortable with. Also Office 2010 is now released as a 64 bit version which was never offered in previous versions.

I'm playing with O2010 in a VM. So far it looks OK, but I can't sell myself on moving away from tried-and-true O2003. Sorry - I just don't think in "ribbon". Nothing about O2007 or 2010 just screams "buy me!".

Keep playing with it. The ribbon put me off in 2007, but it has been refined in 2010 and is more intuitive for me. There are many subtle refinements. For instance if you select text in Word in order to change font size and go to the font menu you get instant previews. Apparently you can move the most often used commands to the front so you don't have to drill down for them (haven't actually tried this). Also there is some optimization for multi-core processors and (as already noted) native 64 bit support.

I'm currently running the 2010 beta alongside 2003 without problems. It doesn't expire until the end of October so you can really check it out.
