Different boot animation.

Why is my boot animation changing for the seven one to the vista one ?
I dont understand why this is happening ?

I installed the same Seven version on 5 different pc's but some of them
are showing the vista boot animation and others are changing from seven to
vista to seven after several reboots ??

Cant figure why ??

The only thing that comes to mind is that you did an upgrade fom vista rather than a clean install...

I'm not sure, but this might work:

Start Menu>Type "msconfig" (no quotation marks)>"Boot" tab>Make sure the setting "No GUI Boot is UNCHECKED.

Try this ....

The invalid and wrong boot screen for Windows 7 is due to missing locale entry in boot record, which failed to be set when editing or rebuilding the BCD. When locale is not found, Windows boot loader does not know which boot locale folder to look for the animated bootscreen. Thus, in order to fix the boot screen so that the boot screen can be reverted, restored or reseted back to original animated Windows 7 boot screen, just run one of the following commands in elevated command prompt with administrator rights:

bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US
or
bcdboot %WinDir% /l en-US


Change the en-US to the language version of the installed Windows 7, such as ja-JP, de-DE, es-ES, pt-BR, zh-CN, zh-TW, fr-FR, fi-FI and etc.

Restart the computer after running the command to see the new boot UI (user interface) be used again. To check if the locale setting has been entered properly, just run the bceedit command in command prompt that runs as administrator.

The only thing that comes to mind is that you did an upgrade fom vista rather than a clean install...

+1 the most common cause of this is an Upgrade, but some tweak utilities can have the same effect.

I'm not sure, but this might work:

I've just tried this as a troubleshooting option & it just displays a black screen on bootup. Nice idea though

I didn't upgrade from vista and no gui boot is unchecked....am gonna try the
bcdedit trick, thxx

One thing I forgot to add

It is strongly recommended that you create a backup of the BCD store before making any changes to it.

bcdedit /export "D:\BCD Backup\Bcd Backup" Creates a backup to a pre-created folder, in this case “BCD Backup” on drive D:

bcdedit /import "D:\BCD Backup\Bcd Backup" Restores the backup previously created

Although the actual commands given should not cause any problems it's always best to be sure

You didn't upgrade, but was Vista previously installed? If so, did you format the drive (advanced install options) and then install Windows 7?

if 7 reverts to vista bootscreen after being tinkered with can you replace the vista boot screen with your own and get a custom boot screen?

I have a question similar to this subject. I notice in Vista, one has the boot screen that is shown in the first post. Then before coming to the login GUI, Vista has another animated windows logo screen. Has this been removed from Win 7?
