Different BSOD every couple of days on a new pc

here is pictures i took of my bios with my phone.
it looks like my voltage is set to 1.6 (although default says 1.5)

i did notice that the voltage override for graphics is set to default and the default is 1.5v
should i override the graphics voltage to 1.6v?

ah man - this is such a pitty, i thought for sure that this would have fixed the problem

played alot of games last night and nothing happend (no blue screens)
its a pity that this problem is not consistent !!

i was told by someone on the corsair forum that my bios is outdated.
i have version 0071 and should update to 0075,
then i should change voltage to 1.65v

what is the danger of setting volts to high on memory?

Update the bios first and test before upping the memory voltage. Word of warning do not update the bios within windows. Use a usb stick with the bios file on it and do it from the bios.

Good Luck

hi,

i flashed the bios with a usb stick, and increased the voltage of the ram.
but it doesnt look like that solved my problem.

i still get bsod while playing games (page non default) and then sometimes another (memory management) on restart after the first bsod .

have anyone tried the software called "Reimmage" ?
their website claims it will fix bsod's

i also did sfc /scannow in my cmd and got this message:
"Windows Resource Protection had found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them and the reference given was "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"

what does that mean, and is this related to my bsod's?

i am going to test my ram the weekend by taking out one of my 4gb ram sticks, and leave the other one in.
i play games until i hit another bsod.
if i get another bsod, i will swop out the ram stick for the other one i took out previously.
and then i will play games until i hit another bsod.
if i get bsod on both i will start again with ram stick nr1 in the other mboard slot,
and then later with ram stick nr2.

i did do another memtest86 for 8hours through the night , and no errors found.

i will just have to explain to my wife that playing alot of games this weekend is necessary ;)

It should fix them for you.

Format and reinstall is a good place to start when trouble shooting, just bare in mind that you will lose your files, So you need to back up your files to an external source.

What sort of disks do you have for reinstall? is is it a DVD or do you have a recovery partition?

thanks,

will look at doing the format and reinstall.
even if its just to eliminate it as a problem source.

the sfc/ scannow gives me a notification that there are problems but that it cant fix them.
it says i need to look at the CBS.log file.
i managed to open the file, but its a gibberish to me.
i did see what seems to be a printer driver that was flagged?

i dont have a printer installed, but i do have cutepdf installed.

would you like me to upload this cbs.log file?
