Different Windows 7 Boot Screens due to Resolution?

Hi guys, I'm just curious about a little detail, is not something that bothers me, but I'm kind of curious.

I have a little Gateway netbook, as you know, netbooks res. generally sucks. Well, this little guy can be included in that list.

The point is that I get to receive a Windows Vista boot screen while I boot it on her screen.

But when I connect it on another monitor it will show Windows 7's.

Is it because of the resolution? Does the Windows 7's boot screen needs a minimum resolution to boot that is higher than 800 x 600?

Did you do an in place upgrade from Vista?? This is usually the cause of differing boot screens... Of course, if you do a clean install of Windows 7, you wont have this problem... ;)

Haha, actually I didn't. The PC itself came with Windows 7 basic, and I even deleted the hard drive twice after two different formats I needed to do with Win7 ultimate. It was not because of the boot screen since I really don't care, but it just makes me curious that's why I posted it here to see if someone had the same "event".

The fancy boot animation is depended on the resolution. 1024x768 is probably the minimum.

I'd agree with that - I saw it somwhere. Also, my netbook is 1024x600 I think, and it only does the Vista-style boot-up screen (clean install).
